Nexus One History and How to Save Money on it

I go through the history of the Nexus One and thanks to Ben Ferguson and his post at nosugrefneb.com I also explain how you can save money by buying one unsubsidized and using a combination of a data plan and Skype. Thanks Ben. Thanks everyone for tuning into my first video of 2010, I know I left out some stuff so comment, subscribe and rate. Thanks again everyone, let me know what you want to see and what I can fix and I will definitely work on it. QUICK NOTE: When discussing Multitouch I am speaking of Native support. It is disabled on the US Nexus One and all US Android devices, not European ones. Yes apps can build it in such as the great Dolphin browser but that wasn't the issue everyone has. If I did not make myself clear I am sorry, just was discussing the issues people had brought up and I assumed, maybe incorrectly, that everyone would understand what I meant by lack of Multitouch since I am not the first to address it. I am sorry if I caused any confusion. Thanks. I would put an Annotation but can't right now and did not want to leave this up in the air. Thanks again.

the newest rumor (God there are so many) is that we should get it this spring. Reasoning is that the Fender edition is coming out soon, shipping with 1.6 but a press release said it would be getting 2.1 in the spring. If it does regulars should. Also Rogers in Canada said that HTC was working on it and they have the same phone. They’re giving Magics (MyTouch) to people who had Dreams (G1) for free (with new Contract) since the dream is not getting updated. Waiting to see what T-mo does. Thanks.

Andy Rubin, the Android Chief, stated “It’s not an America versus outside America kind of thing. It’s a decision that is a result of the OEM model. I personally don’t like two-handed operations… there is no conspiracy.” This was regarding multitouch on the device in the US, the one I am discussing. I know the dolphin browser has multitouch, others maybe soon but it’s not implemented in the way people want, as in the iphone. Maybe I needed to be more clear about that. If that makes me a noob…
